Richard, I have not weighed the ABS ones but I can bet they're lighter, but definitely not as strong. I have heard of several of the ABS ones cracking. I have not compared them price wise since I felt like it was comparing apples and oranges. Do you attend any CVR Events?? I have a set in my car and can show them to you then. If you are interested now, please tell me the year of your car and your address, colour preference etc. so I can send you a set for free. They look great, $100 / $120 sounds like a must buy price to me.
Just one thing How about Right hand drive? No one makes these thing in RHD. ( I'm in the UK.)

Maybe I'm clever or maybe I'm just plain cheap, but I fabricated a set of aluminum floorboards myself out some surplus stock in my garage. They aren't nearly as pretty as the CNC made ones, but hell, they're covered with carpeting 95% of the time! My old Targa leaked badly before I bought it and the wood floorboards were shot. They made effective templates, though, and with a lot of jigsawing, drilling, die-grinding and sanding, they work jes' fine.

Another way to test the market - are you going to the Hershey Swap Meet on April 20? Rent some space, show your boards, and take orders!! The good news - you might wind up selling a LOT of your floorboards...the bad news - you might wind up selling a LOT of floorboards *G*. Don't forget your sign "AS SEEN ON RENNLIST!" I have a 1973 Targa - are the floor boards the same as for a Coupe ?

NO
generally Coupe are longer then Conv/Targas.

Also depending the year the driversideboard had several slight changes ( 901, 911, 915, G50, Sportomatic. ). The passengerside also had some stages but one will fit all. Leave a place to bolt on the convertible top controller.

Porsche used plywood boards to achive better crash results.

jon d, I can't make it to PA since I have to make floorboards that weekend , I am working on Targa floorboards but need a "donor" to work from. If someone is able to send me a set I will return the originals along with a set of mine for free. Just got on the rennlist to see about some other stuff and noticed your post. I have a 1985 911, I use it as a street and track car. On the track I am an instructor for two Porsche clubs in the northwest. If you are still giving out a set of you cnc floorboards I would be very greatful. Mine just started to give. I could help in the selling of these to our very affluent crowd we get at our track days.As you know on track days we take out all carpet, and what would be showing? I think a lot of people would be asking about your floorboards
