opinions on Andial in Santa Ana, CA.
I brought my car there (95 993 cab) for rear brake pads , oil change, and some minor fixes. Turned out i needed new rear brake disks and total cost for the rear brakes to be $500 plus. They also said they found the original fuse (not sure which one)that tends to be over heat and can be dangerous and should be replaced with the new one that has a heat sink. It costed another $300+. The total bill was $1,1xx.
I trust Andial for their reputation and that's why i brought my car there in the first place. I just need to see how othes feel. I am new to Porsche and their Mechanics.
Thx

$500 for dealer/Andial installed new rear brake pads and rotors doesn't seem horribly out of line. Figure they nicked you roughly $100-$150 each for the rotors, and a brake pad set maybe another $100+, so maybe $300-$400 in parts, and 1.5+ hours of labor, which included bleeding the brakes.

i am very pleased with the level of service and integrity. i bought my second porsche after a pre purchase inspection by andial and then had them build a 2.9 motor in my new 74 911 s targa.
5 months and 5000 miles on the new motor i have had 2 scheduled service checks in addition to new front brakes, fender mounted oil cooler and this week i am getting larger t bars in the rear and a new set of shocks all performed by andial. the service has been top notch and always done right the first time.
andial is a shop with integrity and great customer service!
with those new brakes you should bring 'em out to the track. i'll be there!

Mrdi, There are only like a total of 15 machine shops in this entire friggin' state...no, no Andial... I did call them about doing my head work and almost fell out after the gentleman quoted me.
My mechanic in Boise sends all of his stuff to Andial and I know they know their stuff.

This is not about Andial but it relates. I live in Las Vegas and have found a great mechanic. Problem is like Andial he is very thorough and pricey. In the long run however this has been a blessing because I have started doing some of my own maintenance on my car and saving my money so he can do the hard stuff. And they will respect you more doing some of your own work as long as the next time you bring it to them they dont have to work around a bunch of duct-tape and bailing wire from your last homemade repair.
Good luck
