Given the SoCal weather today, are you
1. Putting pontoons on the P car.
2. Or the snow blade to help clear Hwy 5

having not heard from you lately, we all might be interested to know how you are and what you are up to

He's probably working on my traded in 915 tranny. The Master really saved my butt unfortunately my old 915 was a step from blowing up. Sorry Peter for the headache.

It could be that you spelled his name wrong??? It's Zimmermann... Or that he is so tied up in his new lawn tractor that he doesn't have time for Porsches anymore.

I did look at the tractor. It's very nice. Rained cats and dogs up here in Fresno. Not much mowing this weekend for me.

BARRY: LOL! I thought that you'd be back in Texas by now! How's the track car project coming along?

Can't plow/cut/hack or knock over anything yet, the tractor will be delivered tomorrow (I think). Today I'll try to figure out where I can put it inside so it's handy, but not in the way. Can't wait to get my hands on the book and learn how to drive it . We've had a nice winter so far, we're within a couple tenths of an inch of what is "normal" rainfall to date (3.59" so far), so that's good. Not much hope for our river to run through the city this summer though.

JIM: There are no problems - just solutions ! How is your car running with the CO% correct? Did you have to smog it, or was the project to correct lousy running?

DOUG (BRAE): Wow! Thanks, pointing out the spelling was pretty cool, but I've been called a lot worse than Zimmermann (with one 'n') lately!

Cheers, all!

Hey Peter!

I am 5X5! after all it was my faulty AFM & Fuel Injectors.

The Refurbed BMW Injectors and '88 AFM with low miles did the trick. I can't get the silly grin off my face idling at 880 and Kicking G35's but on PCH.

Steve Wong custom mapped my chip helped too. Thanks a Million Steve!

Thank You Peter for a Quality Rebuild on my 915 with LSD!

I think I'm going to go the Track again

Draco, would you say your car is now on par with mine? I think it was driving style all along, really. Your car should be head and shoulders beyond mine. Never seen such a clean car.

Pete...make sure they haul off the container. You want to be home when they get there.

There is a TON of packaging when the drop off the tractor, the grass catcher, etc. The front bumper is a great thing to have to lift the tractor for future mower service.

Close but no cigar! I was here, but was told by the delivery guys that they don't unpack tractors, or haul packaging. They did move the crate into the garage for me, and, in fairness to Sears, the crate has simple-to-follow opening directions. Oh, well, I've got take some cardboard to the recycle center anyway...

Didn't buy a front bumper, but your suggestion is a good one! I'll look into that.

We leave next week, about a month behind sched. Took almost a month ot get a small spot of skin cancer removed from my neck. Got the good to go Fri, and all is well. Looking foward to getting back to the farm.

Car lacks proper tires but otherwise it is also good to go and hope to attend some PCA classes this summer. Need to get up there and talk to you about a look see at our spare tranny when we get back.

You mentioned Sears, does Sears sell Porsche tractors?
