he doesn't know what he has . it is an 88 Carrera not a 993. But it does look to be in nice shape and a great price.

I see an intake and some exhaust work.

His description of the rims is quite humourous.

"starts up", I like that in a car.

Just a guess, but I think this is one of those...

a) scam sales
b) 911's with a blown clutch or similar
c) electrical gremlin cars

Definitely isn't a Carrera 2 nor a 993.

That cars been run on ebay several times at a lot higher price, my guess is its a scam. I bet yaa if you email the guy he says he's out of the country and he wants to do the deal through ebays protection plan and its already in a warehouse so he can ship it to you.

I called the number because I wanted to mess with the guy and ask him all kinds of questions that he wouldn't know the answers too. It said "your call can not be completed as dialed"

I sent him my contact information last night...nothing back yet. I was wondering if they knew what they had in their hands, I really don't expect a reply.

I would like to know what kind of exhaust that is. Looks to good to be true, but who knows! I would jump on it if this guy is upfront and responsive to inquries.
