Couple those with the Lone Star region's DE's @ MSR, and now Eagle's Canyon (& BMW events too), you can track to your heart's content without turning into a racer. You can stay in the DE mode, or move to the club race sect too.
Glad to hear. I will be at Eagles Canyon in March...first PCA (participating that is) event.

Can you guys look at this graph and tell me what "fuel trim" is?

Is that Lambda? I wanted to find a good afr graph for a Stock US 3.2 911.

Source: www.911chips.com (Steve Wong) Thanks !!

"Is that Lambda?"

That's correct! Using "Fuel Trim" as a label is basically incorrect as it relates to OBDII functions
that correct for small fuel injection deviations/malfunctions beyond which Lambda can not correct for. The 964/993 (and later) DMEs have fuel trims,
the 3.2 DME doesn't.

But what would you expect from a so-called "chip tuner"?
Like many "performance" guys, must have over-heard someone using a new
"buzz" word. Like man, we cool, right!

oh man...I have some hilarious Sam Kennison Youtube vids. We ought to start a new thread of that guy's material in OT.

I guess I have to humbly thank Loren for clearing that up. So, without editorializing, "Thank You Loren".

Side-bar question for Fred: Can you roast your tires? Surely with that list of mods you can light them up, no? Chip/pipe/cone/clutch .....must be a killer burn out, right?

3.2's are so powerful, it is easy to light 'em up. Was today the day?

No, last tuesday was and I had a medical emergency of all days. My new day is next tuesday. I'm beginning to not like tuesdays. Today I was moved to our "other" office to "baby sit" the new "marketing department". I actually had to come home and find my wedding ring. That place is full of a bunch of chicks that ....well, nevermind.

Just find me a stock 3.2 that can smoke 'em...... :PLEASE:

Douglas, honestly I've never TRIED to do a burnout with the car, honestly. I KNOW it wouldn't have been able to with the 17x9's on the back before, running 245's. With the lighter Fuchs & all-season 225's, I'd probably say it's likely. Not sure on the 16x8's I have with the Kumhos, they're pretty sticky unless cold.

Really, and that makes a significant difference for a stock engine?
Please! It's another marketing ploy for the naive.

A "performance" chip is a "performance" chip is a "performance" chip.
Nothing more than a simple timing change requiring an increased fuel octane
level to avoid engine damage. Hardly any great breakthru that wasn't known
by Porsche. A Rennlist search will provide factual data that refute the many
claims.

Bottom line: For those who lack insights and have the "herd" mentality,
"jump" on-board! A greater return on the dollar usually comes from an
investment in a POC/PCA DE course.
Speaking in general, this guy's right to doubt what is accepted as fact on a public access bulletin board. There's far too much bull**** (Brad Penn oil is a personal favorite) being preached here and at Pelican - caveat emptor.

Doug - even I can't "light em up" 245 sticky tires and a 61% weight over the rear wheels will do that for you.

I am surprised at the responses. From a standing start turning left or right on a hot day on black tarmac the wheels should spin fairly easily. I have limited slip and I can do it in a low powered SC with Z rated bridgestones.
