Default EFI + Supercharged 2.7???

Found nothing in searches. With the recent topics of getting more out of a 2.7 or converting to 3.2 I thought I'd see if anybody had gone this route?

Thoughts?

There's a reason that the most powerful 2.7 that the factory built was for the '73 Carrera RS. The magnesium 2.7 liter crank case presents too many challenges to make it worthwhile for a very high horsepower project.

There's a few 2.7 turbos in the pelican forum, you just need a much larger oil tank, strange question to come from a guy with your car list.

Not sure why it's a strange question in relation to my car list. I've never seen / heard of a SC 2.7 and figured it had to have been tried. Was thinking a low boost app building around 250 - 300 hp would be out there somewhere.

I totally concur with Pete.

Mag-cased engines are truly poor candidates for forced induction projects due to excessive heat and pressures.

I got about 270 HP out of my 1981 SC with the 3.0 aluminum engine, and a conservative Rayjay Turbo kit (6 PSI),--I would NEVER try that with a 2.7 magnesium case engine. They just can't hold together on their own, much less with the higher demands of a SC or turbo.
