Just a side note on lipstick red. The first picture is Old Man's car a couple years ago. The rest are a car for sale a fiew months ago. the last picture will show why I wasn't selling.....

I would like to add a little to this mystery.

My 1985 Targa has the same option code listed on the label. CO2 and that's all. I have often wondered why also and it seems that the theory of some kind of 1-2 year period in which options were not listed is something to look at.

My car doesn't have heated seats, but it does have power seats on both sides which would have been an option code.

Mine is a 1985 Turbo-Look and it also just has the CO2 option listed on the label.

Interesting thread resurrection!

I've wondered about this myself. My under hood sticker too only says COO (German-market) when it has all kinds of stuff including sport seats and M491 Factory Turbo-Look.

I guess it's an outcome of Porsche being a small company way back when.
