Post Will 3.0L (SC) SSI's fit a 3.2L (Carrera)?

Just ran across some like new SSI's for $400 for the pair...but the guy said they were on a 1982 SC 3.0...Will they fit my 3.2?

Hi Von:

Good price!!!

You can make them work on your 3.2 with some additional washers under each nut.

SC and Carrera ones differ only by port flange thickness. If you do this, be very careful on how you tighten them down to avoid warping the flanges.

Steve is right...if you decide not to go this route, drop me a line, I'd like them for my '82...plus I'll give you a little finders fee...

And if Kevin doesn't want them, I'll work with you! They would be great on my '81SC.

Von,

Be aware that SSI's are on the border of having pipes that are too small for optimal use on the 3.2L engine. They'll work, but you won't get the same benefit you'd get from a 3.0L or earlier engine.
