Default newb to the scene

Hello all,
I am relatively new to the Porsche scene and have just registered to the site. A little about me. I retired last year from the Navy and my beautiful wife bought me my dream vehicle, a 911 cabriolet. We purchased the car from Bobby Smith here in Virginia in June of 2007 and have truly enjoyed it.

I have had a few things done for upkeep and the car runs beautifully overall. I have been quite aprehensive up to this point on doing anything myself (besides taking interior panels off to "adjust" the seat belt guides) as I am not familiar with these superb machines, but hopefully that will change.

I hope to learn a lot from all of the posters of this forum and appreciate any assistance and experience you may have.

Ron

Welcome to the family.

I would suggest picking up a Bentley Manual for your car. The best prices I have found were on Amazon.
Also even though you have already purchased a 911, picking up a copy of "The Used 911 Story" by Peter Zimmermann. It is full of useful info for any 911 owner.

Look forward to the pics...you sound like the perfect new owner for your car.

Thanks Micheal. As fo the flag, I am a true patriot. Love my country. Loved serving her and only retired to spend more time with my three children vice deploying. Would have done 30 years otherwise.

That picture was the epitamy of my man cave...golf clubs and all.

It is a special order paint code (#811) or "Kiln Red Metallic". I haven't seen too many that color. That is what attracted me to it.

It is kind of like a rusty copper. It changes slightly from shade to sunlight.
