Question I need some advice!

I have about $10,000 to spend on a 911. I know that I like the 911 style and this car is nothing more than a toy to cruise around in on nice days. The advice I seek is what years should I look at, were there known years to stay away from? If $10,000 is not enough than what would be a reasonable budget. I don't want a beater, I seek a good looking car. I don't care about speed, I simply love the design of the 911. The last point is are parts difficult to come by for some of the 70's or 90's models.
Anya and all responses will be greatly appreciated.

I'd say buy the newest you can afford. With $10k burning a hole in your pocket, the best you'll be able to do with regards to a 90's model would be to bum rides in one. Maybe you could find an 80's model with some serious issues, but it will then bakrupt you; you can get a mid-late 70's model without too many issues for that kind of green. I paid $8k for my '77 widebody targa. They don't get much cheaper than that, unfortunately...

I saw a '77 coupe on rennlist that needed a tranny for $4500 - a tranny rebuild should be $1000-$2000
