Default Said goodbye to one today, bought one today

Today I said goodbye to my first 911, a 1978 Targa SC. I really enjoyed the car, and it is still a really good driver. I had a suspension pan redo in the works and a 915 rebuild staring at me soon (which I was actually looking forward to doing). However, an opportunity presented itself that I could not pass up.

I have had my eye on a local 1987 Carrera Coupe owned by the guy that owns the shop where I take my cars to. It turns out he remembered me saying how I would have liked to step to G50 Coupe as my next 911. Well, I guess the rest is history because I pick her up tomorrow. The best thing is that I know the car and owner well. It also doesn't hurt the confidence level that she was owned by a top notch, local independent Porsche shop owner/mechanic. So here is the new addition:

Thanks for the comments. I'll post more pics after I pick it up today. Call me crazy, but I'm sort of going miss the feel of the 915. I'll pick up another SC one day.

Selling your first Porsche...sad
Getting your second Porsche...amazing
Having full confidence in the one you just bought...PRICELESS

Sweet Ride!

That's a significant upgrade! You will truly love the coupe. It will feel like a 15 year younger car after the 78 Targa.
