Default Hunter Reviews a 911

I posted this on the 996 board too, but I found a rare review of the 99 C4 that Hunter Thompson did. I tracked it down in the SF Chronicle archives and posted it on my blog.

That's just great.
Especially where he segues into the comparison to hallucinogens.
What a piece of work.

Hey,
thanks for that.
Knew him well - what a wild man.
Always spot on with his observations, be them political, sports, social, or...antisocial...LOL!
Warp speed, indeed.

Fill the trunk up with pills, booze, ether, and grapefruits, put your attorney in the right seat, inflate the tires to 50psi and take her to Vegas Hunter!

HST lived by his own rules. And died by them as well. Then they broke the mold.

Loved reading the HST review. Wish he were here to describe flogging a Cayman for us.

Added your blog to my bookmarks for periodic review. Even forwarded your $30k Collection rationale to my wife. She still thinks I'm a little selfish for driving 3 used sports car while she feel conservative buying a new Toyota van every 4 years.

LaughaC - glad you enjoyed the aricle and site. I post up all the stuff that magazines and my book publisher won't pay me for.

And my $30k collection math has helped a couple of friends of mine convince their better halfs that buying a classic car is indeed financially sound. Hope it helps you as well.
