This picture is from Ebay when the guy who bought my car had it up for sale a year or so later. I had anodizing that was coming off so I stripped with Easyoff oven cleaner and polished out with jewelers rouge.
Those are going to look great especially since they have little to no curb rash on the outermost portion.
Here's one of mine. Not absolutely perfect but pretty good when you only spend $20 on the whole set.

My buddy did not e-mail me back, but there was so much info posted that I figured maybe your questions were answered. If you have any specific questions remaining, send them to me and I will ask them to him directly. FYI, my buddy works at a Porsche specific body shop.

I rattle-canned mine--Rustoleum Satin Black #7777 is a very close match.
Use black plastic electrical tape. It's flexible enough to get the curves and bends you need and a good crisp line. Peel the tape off when the paint first sets in two-three hours...don't wait for 24 hours or you'll have a more difficult time keeping a smooth line.
I also had metal showing through. I just roughed up the paint with a Scotch-Brite pad and sprayed them...no primer. Still holding up...

Did them two at a time (only have two jack stands!), each side was off, taped, painted and back on in a day. So it was a quick weekend project. I also put a light coat over the center caps to make sure they matched and painted the crests on the center caps. Takes a fine brush and Testors model paint...(seriously!).
My hand isn't the most steady, I can't see a thing without reading glasses (getting old sucks), but if you're not down on your knees with a magnifying glass, they look really good...
Go for it...you won't regret it...

Looks good from here! I'll wait for the close up ones. Knowing how you do things on you car I know they'll be great! (Airbox detonation excepted
)
Other side of the world yes, but the other side of "my" world as well. 4000 km from home and loved ones. I've been working in the outback for almost a year now. It's good to be back.
