Well, after looking at numerous cars and meeting a number of interesting characters along the way, I wound up buying the first car I looked at.

I liberated the 89 Baltic Blue coupe from Tim Holt this afternoon and brought her home. While I've got a bunch of work to do in order to bring her up to my cosmetic standards, she passed PPI with flying colors and is a joy to drive.

I've even come to appreciate Tim through the process so you know I'm happy.

While I've got a bit of work to do before I throw out any beauty shots, I will post a photo per the rules; this would be a less than fantastic shot in her new home.

Welcome to the club...I am pretty new too. Now, next picture I see has to be with a beautiful background on the road or by the beach. We have a picky croud here.
Nice car...I have an 83SC but I think an 89 is just as nice or nicer.

Baltic Blue over linen is a great color combo. . . .

Congrats on the purchase.

I'm a big fan of the linen interior as well. Nice acquisition. Enjoy it.

Default Congrats!

Welcome! I saw that car- I watch a lot of sites, and follow market values pretty closely- I wish it had been around about a year ago!

That looks like a really nice Carrera. Love the color! Enjoy!!

Beautiful

The linen color seats are a big plus during the summer.

Very nice.

But you are sending chills down my back with the bike hanging so close to it.

Welcome to the club. Beautiful car and I think I understand your high cosmetic standards. lots of us with those standards on this board. I can't see where you are located so I don't know if you are preparing to put it away for the winter or if you will be driving it every day. If the former, it's going to be a painful winter. Sit tight cause the spring will be awesome. Unfortunately, the winter will seem to last forever.

Welcome! Beautiful car. I almost bought a cabriolet that color, but the PPI didn't go very well (Doug still thinks I should have bought it ). If you don't mind sharing mileage and price, we all like to follow the market. I paid $21.5k for mine with 68k miles in Dec '07. So far, I've only replaced the CV boots (identified in the PPI) and had the oil and transmission fluid changed. Hope to see you around the boards. ~Kevin
