Question will these wheels fit my car?

I have a 66 912 with a 911 engine and currently have the 4.5 x 15" steel rims, but want to install the fuchs. I saw a set of 6x15 fuchs rims for the 69-73 cars on ebay and am wondering if the offset will fit my car? Anybody know? Please let me know so I might bid. Thanks

Yes they will fit but i would go with 6 x 16".

6" is the widest you can go!

I don't know for a fact, but here's some information that may help.

In Bruce Anderson's book, "Porsche 911 Performance Handbook", he shows for the 65-67 911's with 4.5x15 wheels (with 165x15 tires) that a recommendation for change would be to 5.5x15's with 185/70x15's or 195/65x15's. He doesn't recommend going to a wider than 5.5"x15" rim until you get to the '69 models, with the longer wheelbase and fender flares. You could email Bruce at Bruce1485@aol.com and ask him.

I also found some notes in Up-Fixin (Vol 3, p. 73,74) about fitting 1968 5.5x15" wheels on 66-67 911's. The authors say those wheels need a 7mm spacer to fit, since the '68 5.5" wheels are 3/4" wider to the inside and 1/4" wider to the outside, and would rub on the 66-67 models.
