number of '72-73 sunroof coupes
the title basically says it all.
i am in the process of looking for a 72 or 73 sunroof coupe in silver preferably.
not looking for a project car, but a good driver or better.
can be mechanicaly modified by not a race car ( already have one of those--83 euro sc w/+-310 fwhp).
i was just wondering if i should settle for a non-sunroof coupe or look for my needle in a haystack.
btw---i have little preference if it is a "T" "E" and i certainly am not interested in paying crazy money for an "S".

Drifting
I have owned quite a few 72-73 coupes non of them had a sunroof. Prices have come down for all but the very best longhoods but even E's were going for for pretty big bucks.

72T sunroof coupe
i have a 72T with sunroof, original gulf blue car that i most likely will be selling sometime after the first of the year. has had one respray and motor rebuild in 1992 ...approximately 20000 miles since. they are around just have to find them. this car has the factory s options but standard seats..

Race Car
I've had both. The non-sunroof models are more desirable, at least to the R-Gruppe and track-day crowd. The sunroof adds weight, and puts that weight up high, where it hurts the car's center of gravity.
I always thought the sunroof was a "standard option" in the U.S., which meant that all cars going to dealers came with the sunroof, and that you had to special order the car to get the sunroof deleted. But I could be wrong about that.
Silver looks great on the early bodies. Here's my non-sunroof 72 the day before it got worked over and painted black.
