Default Clutch Help!!

Ok... Ive been away awhile... Hurricane Ike. Time to work on the car...

I pulled engine... Replaced all the parts... my throwout bearing was in 100 a pieces... little ***** all over the place. fork shot...

So I get the engine back in... and I think i did something wrong... luckily i haven't bolted anything together... Maybe its my imagination...

Here is the HELP part I cant find in any material I have... including Wayne's book... When you slide the engine back in... should the fork be pressed towards the front of the car? indicating a push type clutch? or does it need to clip into the throwout bearing somehow indicating a pull type...

Its an 83 SC.

Thanks
Brad

I Pm'd him. Not sure how one would engage the two for a pull scenario since the TO bearing is mounted directly onto the pressure plate.... So im hoping it wasnt stated anywhere for a good reason... otherwise I have a long evening ahead of me. I read several places that its a pull type... but no instructions on how to assemble correctly...

I slid the fork into the grove in the TO bearing. I used the starter hole to see it get started. I have no play, not sure how to check if its correct. Maybe Ill hook up the cable and test it before bolting it all back together. Pete, Any feedback?
