I have been considering getting a C4, 1989.. what should I be aware of and what kind ouf routine maintenance should have been taken care of before I do anything...?

I did a lot of research on 964s a couple years ago as I was seriously considering buying one. One of the most important things I learned is that the pre-'91 cars are the most troublesome, and in particular the 4's. An '89 C4 could be a good car, or it could be a money pit. Be careful and get a PPI from someone who really knows these cars.
