Post brake light switch testing

I just removed and thoroughly cleaned my taillight assemblys on my 88 3.2. New lens added and look great but now no brake light action? All the other tail lights work; backup, turn signal and running lights. The bulbs are showing good continuity, triple checked the wiring diagram. I am supecting the switches are the culprit. Bentley says to test the switches at the cruise contol module at #6 terminal-ground, and should show voltage of battery. Any tricks of the trade for rapid fix would be appreciated. Any one know if both of the switches on the master cylinder have to be good for the lights to work? Mark
