FOR SALE: 1989 C4, Sunroof coupe
For Sale: 1989 911 C4, Sunroof coupe
Miles: 140k
Price: $17,000, OBO.
Pictures: http://www.glfporsche.smugmug.com/gallery/6308455_DvSnM
Pros:
Rebuild engine in 2005, main bearings, rod bearings, new head studs, original pistons/cylinders, head gasket update, new rings, full valve job by Steve Weiner at Rennsport systems. Total invested in motor was $10k. Comes with receipts.
Engine does not leak oil
New clutch
All warning bulbs installed, no warnings
H+R springs, lowered a little
Body is straight, no dents, and no rust
Factory sport seats. (Rare and really cool, I’ll miss these)
Cons:
Paint has a few less than perfect spots. There are some chips above the driver's door handle, and on the drivers side rear rocker "shark fin". The roof has been repainted at some point, and the paint is getting thin in a few spots.
Interior showing its age.
AC works, does not leak, but needs to be professionally set up.
One of the front blower fans (there are 2) is dead, the other is dying.
Windshield is worn out, lots of tiny pits (no chips, should pass inspection).
What it needs next:
Battery
Brake pads
Blower fans
Overall:
I drive this 911 every day. The car drives straight and handles as it should. This is a good car, that would continue to be a great daily driver, or DE car. I’m selling in order to buy another 911. I thought I would offer it up to you guys before I stick it on ebay. This car is located in Haymarket VA.
