T,

If you haven't run across it yet look at this thread:

https://rennlist.com/forums/911-forum/434523-cigar-lighter-electrical-short-86-carrera.html

Not exactly what you asked for but still a bit of good info on the subject.

Good Luck!

Barry

to get to mine I had to take the blower unit out of the front of the car. Wasn't difficult but took about an hour to get out. After that is was easy. I took the opportunity to clean things up .

I bought an aftermarket cigarette lighter outlet at the local hardware store last weekend and hard wired it in. Took my all of half an hour. I hid it well so you don't even know it is there and used it to plug in my GPS. Might be an option to consider.

I like this option, especially seeing as I can put two in; one for the cell and one for the GPS.

Actually, you can wire in one and then go to Crappy Tire and get an adapter that goes from 1 male to 2 females.

Thanks for the nice comments Clive. I have been working on the car a lot to get all of the little things perfected and it has been a ton of fun as you know.

I will sell the RX-7 in the spring. I was too late in the season when I tried to sell it to generate any interest. I have been thinking about selling the P-car and with the RX-7 sale maybe getting a 930 or 993 widebody. I will put the Porsche up on eBay at some point and see what comes out of it. But i love the look of my turbo-look.
