Fingers Crossed!!!
Went up and drove an 88 Diamond blue coupe today in MA and, wow, what a nice car! 43.5k miles, hardly any blems on the paint, very well maintained (overmaintained, actually), etc.
At the risk of upsetting someone's applecart, compared to the Baltic Blue coupe at Holt, the car at Tim's looks like a beater.
The owner isn't a car guy so it desperately needs the royal treatment of a good polish and a few coats of carnauba on the outside and some Aerospace 303 on the interior but, with that done, this thing is a gem!
So, it goes in for PPI at EPE in Natick, MA on Wednesday. The only concern I have is that the 2nd gear synchro seems a little stiff. Other than that, I'm expecting a good report.
So, hoping all goes well.

Secnd gear synchro is not un common , mine is stiff too , it espeecially acts up when cold . Treat it nice till it warms up and I think you may get some years out of it before a rebuild is required. Actually always treat 1st to 2nd nice with the "pregnant pause"
