Default Fun Run Pics

Some pics from today's run... Most of us got a little sideways at least once, we talked with local law enforcement, and weighed our cars. In all, we had a great time!

Ryan recorded the weights and should post them. His '76 3.2 was the lightest at 26xx pounds with him in it!

My '77 came in at 2887 with my 201 lbs self inside.

Man that pic makes my car look a goofy yellow.

Here are the weights:

76 911 S w/ 3.2 - driver = 2492 w/driver = 2680
77 911 S + driver = 2887
01 Boxster + driver and passenger = 3220
91 (I think) 964 + driver = 3540
08 Boxster S special edition + driver and passenger = 3300
08 Nissan 350 Z Nismo + driver = 3460

Here's what I got when I got home and broke out the bathroom scale:

Car with me 2680
Me w/clothes shoes 194
Box of tools 18
Targa top 18.3
Tool kit 6.2
Floormats 6
Jumper cables 5.2
Jack 4.11
Misc. other stuff 7.13
Total stuff 258.94

2680-258.94= 2421.06

I didn't take out gas, but I had right at 3/4 of a tank.

WTF?
Ryan and Chris, you guys both lived within 25miles of each other back in Va/WVa and now your hanging in Nashville? Sounds like you had a good day.

Yeah, life is stranger than fiction.

Plus, Ryan has me jealous of his yellow 911. I think I need to install my turbo kit to keep up.

Tim, do you own that brown 930 in Winchester?

Good to "see" you online!

Yeah that isn't a great pic of Tim's car either. His SC is the cleanest I have ever seen. Tim was there to help diagnosis when the connecting rod in the 3.0 went. I had a rod in the sparkplug hole resting on the piston, I had Tim on the phone and I was turning the motor over by hand. The exchange went something like this:

Tim: "Did the rod move when you turned it over?"
Me: "Nope, not at all"
Tim: "That's not good, I think you broke it"
Me: "That sucks"
Tim: "Yeah it does"

After I started the teardown we found that the connecting rod broke and punched a hole in the case.

Thanks Ryan,
That was an eventful day. I can't believe I didn't figure it out eairler at your house, must had been that new muffler you had on there that drowned out the fact that it was only running on 5 cylinders. Glad to see you out enjoying that 3.2 at last.

Default Encounter with the law today

[QUOTE=RShepHorse;5894953]Hmmm

Actually, the Officer chatted with us at a gas station in Fairview after a local yokal on a tractor waved a cellphone at our passing parade of P-cars. While he was nice and acted interested, he managed to probe a bit about our destination and the SOP question as to where we each reside. When we were vague he commented how, "Murfreesboro and Nashville are all melded into one town" according to our responses. Soon after pulling away we passed another patrol car. Coincidence? I doubt it.
