Default 996 Center Tail Light (years)

Hi Folks,

I have been researching for my "first" after moving on from a 2002 ALMS Audi TT. I am leaning towards the Targa 4S and C4S Cabs. I have particularly liked the styling of the 03 models with center brake light. But apparently some 03's have it and some don't.

So my question is what's the deal with the center brake light? Is it indicative of the 03s? Why do some 03's not have it (are they not actually 03s)?

Thanks in advance,
supercollider

I think you are referring not to the center high-mount brake light but to the tail light reflector lens that goes across the back between the L and R tail lamp lenses similar to the older 911SC/Carrera/964/993. That is a feature for the 996 series that is only on the C4S.
