My is an '87 3.2. I drive it about four times a week 50 miles round trip. It is a not a concour car but looks good from a distance. It needs a top end, the gas guage just started getting stuck on 1/2 (I keep track of miles on my blackberry) and it will need a repaint one of these days. It has about 150,000 miles. Oh, the mileage doesn't work also. When I bought it, it pulled real strong and still does. In the meantime, I don't feel guilty driving it and if it gets a chip from some gravel, I have plans to paint it in the future.
Now, after the rebuild and paint job which will be in a couple of years, I don't know what my feelings will be about driving it too much. I will probably want to baby it.

Mine is an 87 and it's running like a top w/ 78K miles on the clock. I used to only drive it on sunny weekend days but now drive it any half-way nice weather day so long as I don't expect to have to be on the phone while driving....just too loud! My 25 minute work commute flies by and I arrive with a big grin!

Running great - just need to find time to drive it more - something about owning two houses and hoping 1 sells has kept me a little busy......... 125K miles - drove Milwaukee to San Diego and back last year, only problem was the starter. Winter is on it's way now - then it's project time in my new garage!
It's not that everyone seems to have a problem - they are trying new things and looking for advice on trying to do them themselves - which is what I try and do as well. I love reading about all the different things out here - what a wealth of knowledge!! Peter and Steve have GREAT posts, Iceman's airbox issue, oshin's many projects and questions, 911vet doing her 1st valve job - it's more inspiration for the rest of us to get out and try it!!!!!

My 1975 911S is running great except for a slight oil leak. My technician who rebuilt the engine stated that it is a minor issue that he will correct when I go back down to Florida at the end of the month.

Mine runs great!
My 2.7 (rebuilt in 2004) runs great!
One power window gets stuck occasionally, and the "new" A/C system lost it's charge last year.
Oh, and the power wire to the clock has fallen off the back of it.
Sitting in my garage are a few parts for future projects:
1. Oil cooler to replace the trombone-type
2. Fatter rear sway bar
3. BAE turbo kit (if I dare)
4. Racing headers (but why replace my SSI's?)
5. Shifter bushings (but don't need them yet)
6. Spare set of calipers (not needed yet)
7. Set of SC cams (to install if I ever need to pull the engine)

87 with 121K miles.
Just got back from its second DE at MidOhio. I had the tach buried in the red in 3rd and 4th on the back straight every time. Buried the tach and hit the rev limits in 2nd out of the hotpit twice. Drove it at 120mph down the straight, screaming road tires on every corner.
Drove it home. Purred the whole way.
It doesn't just run... it runs away from the competition

Of course someone has a problem ...this is a 911 board. This is where we get help and advice on repairs (or mods ). Mine are running 100% and are never down unless for routine maintenance. On that note, both have been rock-solid reliable, dare I say "Honda reliable," since I've owned them. And the track only seems to make them better. Seriously, how many cars can accept the rigors of track use, perform well even if unmodified, and commute with aplomb ...and still be a reliable/trustworthy car. Truly amazing cars these 911s.

Like many others, my car is running great and seems to be in pretty good shape. Most problems I encounter are created by my ineptness. But we learn,..hopefully.

Well the poll has closed and some nice replies. BTW mine is now running 100% after doing the airbox replacement without dropping the motor... Also fitted short shift kit, rebuilt front calipers, new rotors and disks. Few more small items to work on but she is running strong pulling like a train from about 1100rpm to redline, had her up to 130mph last week rock solid love the car to bits. Oh she does give me one drip a day but that is fine as she has 144,000 miles on the clock.
