Rotiserie/Cradle
Has anyone ever made their own rotiserie for working on their car ??
I have seen commercial ones as well, but don't know specifcally who makes them.
Any help would be appreciated.

Jim,
I often saw Vdubs with engine fires but that looked more like a carbeque than a rotiserie...
I take it you are talking about the steel hoops that you can bolt to the wheel hubs or chassis so you can roll the car on its side to work on the underside? I've only seen these used for total strip down body shell work, I don't think it would be too swell for regular maintenance with all the fluids in the car. Not to mention all the spare change that would rattle up onto the headliner...
Or were you thinking of some other device?

Yes, that is the type of rig I am looking for. In searching yesterday, I actually came across a couplke of sites that showed the details of making your own. It it is very simple construction.
It looks like it will cost about $ 200 to make my own versus $ 700 - $ 1000 to buy one new.
