Default Raised Hub Steering Removal

How difficult is the removal of the raised hub steering option?

The raised hub is built into the wheel, or at least it is on my 88 Carrera. I don't think it can be removed from a factory steering wheel, but I may be wrong. Mine cant be removed without cutting it off and ruining the wheel.

They are two different wheels, you cannot add or remove the extension you need to change the entire steering wheel. (easy swap) I prefer the raised hub and the standard wheel in sitting in the basement. You should be able to find a standard wheel in the classifieds or ebay.
