911 in MY garage
Woooo hoooo I am so stoked today at last the 911 is in MY garage. 27 years of dreaming has ended, feels kind of weird but excellent at the same time. I love her and she already has a name my 11 year old daughter tagged her Misty, which given the paint colour is really quite apt. Going out now to polish her and take some pics will post some up soon. Oh and added bonus is that there is a driver training day tomorrow at Killarney race track which is like 5 minutes from the house organised by the Porsche Club and I scored an invite.. So stoked I just can believe it...

WOO HOO! Congratulations. I also dreamed of a 911 for 27 years. Like a fine wine, it only grew better with time.

Thx Vroomgirl I read your trip details when you bought yours and your obvious excitement. I am not sure about the track day as right now Cape Town is being battered with the worst storm in 7 years, will need to see what the weather brings tomorrow.

In the meantime, I was having a rough day yesterday, stuck on the phone in my home office on infuriating/boring conference calls for hours. I asked my husband to pull my Porsche out of the garage so that I could see it from my window. Porsche Therapy! Strange as it may sound, this did lift my spirits! An evening drive was even more therapeutic. VROOM
Whenver your first track day is, please come back with a full illustrated report!

Same story here.
Dreamed about one for many years, then got one, then went through the "OMG... this thing is actually mine feeling" for the first little while. Still feel that way sometimes when I walk out the door in the morning. The best one is when I take it to work and forget I have. Then I come out at 5:00 and there she is. Kind of like finding a 20 in my pocket at the end of the day. Hahaha
Looking forward to the full size photos.
