Default Need help - brake light - 911SC

I am an idiot with electrical stuff, so please talk slowly:

Left rear brake/signal/flasher light not working. New bulb - no dice. Turn on left turn signal, it flashes quickly and only operates the front flasher. I cannot find a fuse that is for this light only. There is a fuse for brake lights, but it operates both so must be OK.

What should I check next?

Brake & taillight share the inboard bulb, then you have the reverse light, then the single filament T/S - all are separate circuits. Brake tail uses a 1034 (1157) bulb, T/S uses an 1129. If your bulbs are indeed correct, and the entire lamp housing is dead, check your quick disconnect harness connector in the back left corner of the engine compartment. You can also raise the car and check to be sure that the lamp's harness ground wire is properly attached at the bumper bracket. That's all that I can suggest without more info...

Thanks for the suggestion Pete. I gave up and took it in to the shop.
