Final a true Porsche Owner Again
Finally, after four years, I can consider myself a true Porsche owner again. I bought my '76 911S while I was in college 6 years ago and enjoyed it for a couple of years before I couldn't afford to repair the problems. It sat for four years until I purchased a 3.0 motor and installed it myself! (that and troubleshooting my CIS qualifies, no?) With tech suport from Bruce Abbot, Jim Williams, Walt Fricke and a number of guys on the list I've finally gotten it in a state that I can drive it without worrying I'll be stranded on the side of the road.
I took it out today for a drive in this great December weather we're getting in the Chicago area (please hold out before the snow) and ohhhh what a feeling! The 3.0 is tons better and loads more torque than I recall my 2.7 was. I just got some heat from my girlfriend for leaving rubber at the end of the driveway.

Now how do I convert my girlfriend before I propose...should I propose if I fail to turn her into a Porshephile? (Just kidding) But, she'd rather have the new 350Z than a Boxster! I have a tough task ahead of me.
I took pictures, but haven't had time to upload from the digitcam.
