I miss having an armrest in my 81 911SC. I have seen some of them in various catalogs, some say drilling required some say no drilling. Anyone have any experience with any of the aftermarket armrests?
What did it cost and how long did the install take?
Thanks
Matt Rich

I used to have the autochic one in my car. I've done a lot of upgrades, but the ones that I notice the most consistently are the little things -- steering wheel, pedals, armrest, cupholder -- that have nothing to do with performance. I really liked having the armrest, but it doesn't fit with my new seats. If you're looking to buy a used black leather one (original cost was $149), shoot me an email.
there's a company in Connecticut called Bird Automotive that makes the best armrest, there is a cupholder option too. I don't have one in my 911, but I have seen two in other cars, they appear to be of outstanding quality. Try www.BirdAutomotive.com.
Pelican Parts has a very good armrest in the 911 section, no cupholders, no phone just an easy to install{ no holes to drill}real leather armrest
