Default Your daily driver

Hey there, I thought it could be great to hear what you use as a daily driver. Your Porsche or ___?

To start with my self: I have been driving in a BMW 320 Ci E46 fully loaded with M package etc for almost a year. Before that, my dad used it as a daily driver, and since we bought it for almost two years ago, the car has gained 25.000 km. I love to use such a wonderful car as a daily driver, but it is also hard to see the car gain so much km. I know for sure that I couldn't do that with my Porsche, even though it would be great to use it as a daily driver, but just as great it would be just as hard would it be to see the car gain km. My Porsche is a '92 Turbo with only 20.000 km on the clock. Every time I drive the BMW I feel sorry because we have put on so many km, but it has been a loverly time.

Edit: I use my '89 3.2 Targa as a daily driver when the weather suits- and I'll use it a lot more after I get the targa top rebuilt and the throwout bearing replaced. Other days I take my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser, or if the wife needs it, I take her Mini.

Before that, 2000 Range Rover 4.6 HSE

Before that, 1996 Land Rover Discovery SD

Before that, I was a poor student so I had Subarus.

Some day I plan to have a 993 C4 as my daily driver.

Daily driver: 911.

Except sometimes in the winter when they have too much salt out and I use a 98 honda. I don't worry about putting miles on the car, that's what I bought it for; to drive it.

Exactly. Cars are meant to be driven. No point buying one to let it sit and rot. It's not like we're talking about ultra rare collector cars.

I run a 99 Maxima (my urban assault vehicle) or a 2007 Odyssey (for family duties).

05 Toyota Matrix XR

Before that:
84 VW Cabriolet w/16v Scirocco rocket engine (now my mom's favorite toy)
02 MINI Cooper (total tranny failure at 34K miles, out of warranty and BMW/MINI wouldn't fix it -- I swore to tell everyone I could)
88 Honda Civic AWD (best car I ever owned, retired at 225K miles)
98 BMW Z3
91 Honda CRX
89 Honda CRX

05 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 or I steal my wife's 08 Scion xB to save gas

If my drive to work was along a nice mountain road I'd drive it everyday but it's 15 miles of stop and go freeway which isn't much fun in the go cart as my wife refers to it.

I drive my 911 all the time. I'm not going to worry about putting mileage on it. If I want to collect and preserve something, I'll look into postage stamps.

Unfortunitly I can not pull a 7,000 lb trailer with my 911. Gotta use good o'l American v8 muscle in the form of Ford Truck.
