ROLLER ROCKER ARMS
IS ANYONE FAMILIAR W/ THE NUMBER OF MANUFACTURERS THAT MAKE ROLLER TIP ROCKERS
FOR SMALL BLOCK CHEVY,S? WHY DON,T THEY MAKE
THEM FOR PORSCHE? IT WOULD SEEM WE COULD BENIFIT FROM THE SAME TECHNOLOGY!!

Well, if you look at how a 911 rocker works & is designed you will note that it uses a long portion of the "face" that touches the cam lobe. Whereas a "chevy" rocker actually uses just a "tip" to touch the contact area with said roller on that tip. A 911 rocker has that convex shape face that's about 2 inches long, and the whole face is used for the full length.
I have thought about multiple rollers within that long face (would have to have WAY to many so that it would be a smooth transition from one to the other though) or even one VERY big roller (not enough room in the cam tower) etc., etc.
All that (and the fact that the rocker is designed & used differently than "other makes" rockers) makes for the reason why you don't see them.
Sorry, I like the idea too.
