Yeah I bet they are lots of fun to remove... especially after 20 years. Looks like Pelican will get it here by tomorrow even with free ground shipping since it's coming from the SF warehouse. I'll give it a shot without the PB blaster first( I was expecting a few days for shipping so I'd have some time to drive around and find that) and if I fail give it a good soaking ;-)

Thanks for the help. It came off easily with using a crescent wrench after an overnight soak with PB blaster.

So the new one is installed and ready to go but when I pulled off the wheel I discovered that I have a nail in that tire that went in through the tread and into the sidewall. It's not loosing air but the inside sidewall now has a bubble so I think that tire is toast. Bummer it only has about 3000 miles on it too.

Glad to hear it was painless.

Bummer it only has about 3000 miles on it too.
Look on the bright side, if it was more worn you would have probably had to replace a pair of tires. Anytime the sidewall is pierced or you get a bubble in there it should be replaced.
