The mileage is around 23-25 to a gallon on my car.
I would say if you can find "anyone" that would take a '77 Corvette then get it done. I had one of those so I know of what I speak. This is an apples and apple crates comparison. Dump the crate and get the apple. There....someone had to say it.

You are correct, they are completly different but then again you are comparing 70's and 80's technology.
Have you driven a C5 or C6 corvette....they are awesome!

I dare not drive either a C5 or C6....I'd want one. IMO, dollar for dollar they best deal going for a car in the sports catagory. I have a buddy that gets 28 mpg on his Z06 with gobs of horsepower.
HOW DAY DO DAT?
Jimbo, did you get the car? Lets see pix.

Sure the new Vettes get raves about being the best bargain going in new cars, but there is something missing in their soul. Literally, anyone can buy one, get in it and mash the throttle.

Those us us here that have tracked our "elder" 911's, and get a wee bit proficient at it, get a sense of satisfaction in honing our skills that NOBODY in a Corvette will ever get.
