I was going to answer, "Sure."

But instead of being a smart-*** - 80 liters.

Thank, Pete!! I'll be more specific with my questions in the future, or feel free to be a smartass.

620 km, 385 miles to a tank, are other people averaging that many miles to a tank??

I find it strange that the fuel guage has large hash marks at the top and smaller at the bottom. By the shape of the tank you would think its opposite. But if half is really half way on the guage i get 23-29 mpg

because of the tank shape i always just wait till it's empty and reset the trip. the 620 is after the red light has been on for about 5-10 minutes, don't want to push it more than that and i can squeeze in about 75-80
people are amazed it holds that much ( $110.00 to fill )

I'm going to have to have my car checked out, my red light comes on and then the tank only takes about 17 gallons and I am only getting about 16mpg, street driving (a little spirited). Are the tanks in '80 US spec cars smaller?

i would say no difference Rick 78 -89 I would say are identicle . DEFINITELY the 78-83s are the same. MAybe it is just your sender. an easy replacement if it is not working , order one and throw it in if it is the problem. just make sure you order a new gasket with it. I am not sure how many gallons hold right after the light comes on. I can always check for you . I read in litres, i would be an easy conversion.

I recently got 27.1 mpg on my 88 Carrera between San Antonio & Corpus Christi, TX. I was cruising at 70 with the CC on. I was really surprised. In town runs about 21-22 mpg.
