I did for a while on my old triumphs. After a failure or two, I ended up switching back to points.

I've been running Pertronix for 2 years in my '76 with no issues.

I ran one in my 74 (2.7L) w/o any issues. It was flawless. Worth the price of a couple sets of points for sure.

I ran one in my Beck 550 Spyder and loved it. Definitely less maintenance, no issues, and could have been placebo, but seems a little snappier.

Thanks for the reply everyone. My mate and I both have 76's and we are thinking about them for both our cars.
I have to put a new clutch in his first though

Have it in my '71 built out to '73 RS specs. It works fine, nice to eliminate points as a maintenance item. Points can be okay too, provided you have CD ignition, where the voltage through the points is low and they don't pit, last a long time.
