Post Door Alignment

Hello all,

My driver's side door sticks out about 3/4 inch at the hinge. Is there any way to easily adjust it? Thanks!

Hello

3/4" thats some 17mm !!!!!!!!

Thats out of any aligment.

Now the baseplate in the A-pillar is movable some 10mm totaly but thats normaly 5mm off center.

You can file out the plate and get some 2 mm additional and you can rebuild the door bushing wich also removes 1mm play.

But i would look if your car isn´t bend or had something bad done to it.

Grüsse

Hello

1/4 inch thats some 6mm and also to much for a simple missaligment.

But it is doable to work it out.

First check for play in the hinge and if yes then rebush.

Then mark the position from the hingeplatte and losse all 6 bolts untill you can move the baseplates and if possible move the hingebases to the desired position.

if you can´t move them then bolt down one and loose the other totaly, swing it back ( Have your door full open and supportet ) and look how much you can file up the hole while you have the base plate moved to the needed position. Normaly you can add some 2-3mm.

Grüsse
