Default Vacuum Leak

A vacuum leak large enough to stall your engine; would it be consistant in stalling your engine or could it be intermittent? For example car runs for 10 minutes one time and an hour the other time.

usually vacuum leaks mean unmetered air getting into intake and causing havoc including irreular idle and popping. Any of these symptoms ?
