Question 86 911 Coupe door cylinder problems

About 6 months ago the door lock cylinder, drivers side, during lock and unlock would spin around 360 degrees. It still worked until today. Removing the key the entire lock cylinder assembly came with it. There is nothing in Bentley's manual focusing on the key cylinder replacement or repair. Do I need a new cylinder? Can the cylinder be purchesed without the handle? Will I end up with two different keys? Any suggestions helpful.
Regards,

You may want to work with a Porsche dealer on this one. Not knowing about aftermarket sources for locks, it looks like the cylinders by themselves are only available thru 1984 models. After that, the door handle and lock come together. The good news is it looks like you can specify what the lock number is, so you don't have additional keys. You can also get the handle/lock combo with a new lock and new set of keys, if you want.
