go for original burgundy.
colours go in and out of fashion and popularity, waves of silver and waves of gulf blue occur for example. burgundy is really different to the current waves of fashion ...and so its 110% ultra cool in my book. original is best. enjoy its speacialness. freshly painted it will look fantastic!
steve mcqueen loved the cooler descrete colours think he had a ferrari lusso in burgundy too! (might be wrong).

we don't own the old cars we merely enjoy them and look after them right for the next generation to do the same - so let them get a beautiful cool burgundy gem at some far off point in the future.

Original is the way to go for resale, but if you are wanting to change the color...
I have always liked Aubergine (or even a brighter purple), Gulf Blue, or Viper Green.
The Aubergine is a pretty rare color.

Aubergine. It was on the cover of Porsche's 1973 sale brochure,--and when I started taking special notice of the 911. Stunning, with a cream leather interior. (Will scan and post sometime).

Stellar 912 you have there, Harry.

Mark- Here's another beaut that ought to reinforce the wisdom of your final decision / burgundy-- http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...light=burgundy
(the interior is not bad as an inspiration either ...)

this 912 listing claims Burgundy several times in the ad...... nice car, must be a photo flash/ shade thing but it's the 'BLACKEST' burgundy photo'd longhood I've ever seen.... pics of door jambs totally different than wider ext pics .

Harry H.- thanks again for the Columbus body shop referral you passed along on another p-car site.. have to get my 71T front pan done before we're too much further into summer.

Paul, Thanks for the link. Those pictures make me feel allot better about the color. Also, I picked up the car on Sat and got it moved to my house. I will post pictures later. I forgot to bring the pictures to work. Also, I have a brand new set of fiberglass fenders listed in the for sale section if anyone is interested.
