I am back in muffler land and have made it up with my neighbours. They were all seriously hating me (mainly cos of my 6.30 start-ups each morning) and it wasn't worth the hassle or worry. I hope to go back to something a bit louder at some point in the future but for the time being I'm happier knowing that people aren't plotting against me. Whilst the police would have been on my side for assault, the council would have been against me for anti-social behaviour (like they were when I had the double bypass on my 965). To be honest, it's a relief knowing that I can drive around without risk; it wasn't a very nice week!
