missing teeth
Ok, Im ready to bring the car back and have yet another starter put in. Performance was good to send me a replacement.
The symtom is pretty typical. Car does not like to be restated when hot. Turns over, but won't catch. Try it again, won't catch. One more time, Click. While the starter might be bad, might there be flywheel that could be missing teeth?
Starter would spin though?
If one would turn the key to the right while the engine is running and the starter makes that grinding noise, would that create a "dead spot" or other problem? Im not talking about prolonged, but like that noise and then stop. The wife might have done this.
