Default Matching numbers?

Excuse my ignorance... but how do I find out if my '75 2.7 has the original engine? ( the papers I have say chassis no. 9115100379 and engine no. 6151165 ) and I'd also like to find out what the original colour was.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Go to the Porsche.com USA site. Search the site for "authenticity". There is a form you can download and fax to Porsche. You can also call them at 800 PORSCHE with questions.
BTW it will cost you $110!

No he can't. That only works for North American cars.

There is a paint tag on A pillar of drivers door that will tell you the paint code. If you have delivery documents that should give you engine serial #.
