I saw a 85 SC coupe for sale with the factory M491 option (turbo-look). However, the car does not have the rear turbo spoiler. Correct me if I am wrong, I thought the option includes all the turbo components such as turbo brakes, suspension, flares, and spoilers. It seems to me that the previous owner may have removed the expensive spoiler beforehand. Any other possible reason for the M491 optioned car without a turbo spoiler?

 

Some cars are running without the turbo tail. Did you check the option tag under the hood or in the owners manual?

 

The wide body turbo-look cars could be ordered without the tail. I think they look great either way. As above stated the hood tag or owner's manual stamp will reveal the options code and I believe there is a special code for the tail-delete cars.

 

The option code for the deletion of spoilers on a Turbo Look is M470.

Yep, over here if you delete the spoiler they still gave it to you in a box. And it would be a Carrera not an SC as Trader said.
