Default 3.2 fuel pressure

Can some one please tell me what my fuel pressure should be at idle on my 3.2 carrera? Mine is a euro '84 model.

Also, should it increase much when the engine is under load? All I did was rev it and while it was increasing the revs the fuel pressure increased and once the revs were held high but steady the fuel pressure dropped down again to what it was at idle.

I did a search all the way back to 2003 with no luck.

TIA.

Depending on engine demand, fuel pressure might rise to accomodate fuel volume requirements???

28 to 29 PSI at idle, 37 to 38 at WOT.

It moves with manifold vacuum so if you crack open the throttle and hold at hi RPM with no loadit will "creep" as you describe. At idle it should jump about 10 psi when you disconnect the vacuum line going to the fuel pressure regulator.

Thanks guys.

The figures you mention Peter are what I got not driving the car. Maybe I should hook up the gauge and see what I get while driving at WOT. I'll need to get a longer hose
