Hey ice,
Neater job with the glue?? Hah! Looks great to me ...and would look even better once mounted up If it works, it's a nice job in my book!

BTW, did you ever figure out what blew it up in the first place? From everything I've read on the subject (admittedly years ago when I was on the hunt for my SC), the pop-off wasn't deemed necessary by any of the experts if the car is in a proper state of tune. Did you find something amiss after the fact??

oh edward , edward , edward...

you need to log on more often my friend ...

you are gonna make me relive the pain aren't ya ..

okay i will just for you .. okay see my sig ? the rotor on a SC goes CCW. my bentley indicated it went CW. so after my valve adjutment when i went to put the wires back on ( need to take em off to take the valve cover off obviously .
i put themback on according to the firing order with the rotor going CW. The rest was just loud noise lots of smoke and carniage .. and a month off the road. My car runs flawlessly otherwise so i did not put a pop off in the car..

Hard to say John

it involved ordering parts, and i just took my time as i enjoy this stuff/ I was off the road for a month . But if i was in a hurry and had the parts I could have done it in 2 days.

one day to get it out clean it up and repair everything anohter to put it back .

Actuallyhaving said that ,, if i new ahead of time and having done it before I could take the cis out, replace the air box and put it back in one day .. I say that based on if a buddy called me and said " i blew my airbox help " I would tell him order these parts and i will come over and help . I could do it in a day.

doing it even once before is huge.

I would not be surprised if a shop quoted 8 hours, Pete would have a really good idea of shop time for this Job.

Oh man, Ice. Sorry, bro ...that really does suck!!! Sorry you had to re-visit the pain on my account. Here's to better times, brother!

On a side note, that Bentley is wrong on such a major point is freakin criminal!!!
