exhaust 2 in 2 out vs. dual
Greetings,
I've got a 3.2 with headers in my 911. right now the muffler on it is a hollowed out porsche dual output soon in need of replacement.
I've heard talk that you can get a nice sounding economical exhaust by fabricating an exhaust using a flowmaster 2 in 2 out and some mandrel bent pipe.
Would it make sense to put a dual exhaust (separate muffler for each side of the engine) on there. what are the advantages/disadvantages of either set-up sound, space, or power-wise.
thanks

I have a flowmaster single in dual out on my stock exhaust 3.2, but I understand the no cat header style dual in dual out is not pleasing to some people. Something like the setup in this thread should be great.
