Post Tensioner Update Kit

I purchased a '80SC about a year ago and I'm upgrading the the clutch and etc....

The previous owner said the tensioners had been upgraded. How to I tell for sure without pulling off the tensioner covers?

If you see oil lines going into the tensioners you should have the upgraded ones.

The attached link from Pelican shows a few install photos which might help you to ID the location of the oil line out of the chain housing.

I'm fairly new at this, and for me, a picture is better than a thousand words.
