Default What do i do with my dangly bits?

i'm a bit confused and would appreciate any help you can offer, am gonna fit k+n watershield air filters above my carbs. I have a filter/catch tank solution for the oil breather from the oil filler neck.

but what do you do with this hose? (red arrrows) is that a breather as well? it usually fits to a nipple on the standard airbox. but when the airbox is gone what do you do with the hose?

while i'm at it - shouldn't this brown wire (green arrows) be connected to something?

thanks for any help.

it's been a long time, so I may be wrong, but I think the K&N watershed covers have holes with grommets that you can put the hose into.

thanks guys.
crimson, some k+n's watershields do have holes some don't (mine dont) but they are easy to put in. but i'm not sure they are necessary.
i "think" i've figured out the hose thing. in the part catalogue it runs to a valve/drain so i think its to dispose of moisture from the stock airbox. so just plugging it should be fine i "think"!?.
does that make sense to you guys in the know? (see parts 9 ,10 11 below)

i've not seen many cars with it. but one i did see on pelican looks to be plugged with a bolt to my eyes. i pm'd him.

any more advice would be lapped up. THX

The breather hose you are refering to would just catch any oil in the air box and drain it to the back side of the engine. You can safely remove it or cap it. (Do not throw it away in case you go back) I can't see how any oil would accumulate in your shields anyway.

Correct. The crank breather hose that used to attach to the front side (that you can't see) of the stock air filter housing should be routed into a home made plastic container (after market w/w fluid bottle or similar) mounted in the right forward corner of the engine compartment. That way you're protected in case of an accidental overfill or too much crank breather activity.
